Top Creator News, Stories & Tips
Hey, marketers & entrepreneurs,
Itβs Paul from Click Analytic π
THIS is a special edition: my top 5 creator campaigns of July 2026. The sharpest ideas. Not the biggest budgets.
It includes how:
β½ YouTube turned creators into a live sporting event (10M+ live views)
π Kai Cenat's Streamer U became a 56M-hour brand playground
π McDonald's turned a 4-year-old TikTok into a national TV ad
And one cautionary tale: OpenAI's creator trip that got roasted harder than it got promoted.
Check it all below π

π Top 5: July Creator Campaigns
Every month, I round up the most interesting creator campaigns brands ran.
Here are 5 creator campaigns worth studying (plus a bonus with OpenAI) π
1οΈβ£ YouTube Γ FIFA β The Creator Cup
YouTube and FIFA staged the first-ever Creator Cup in Central Park on July 12 β captained by IShowSpeed, with Celine Dept, AboFlah and others playing alongside football legends. Instead of asking creators to cover the World Cup, they made creators the main event.
π 270M+ combined subscribers on the pitch. & 10M+ live views globally
π‘ Lesson: Don't just use creators to distribute your campaign. Build an experience, show or competition people would genuinely watch because the creators are in it.
2οΈβ£ Streamer University Γ 20+ brands
Kai Cenat turned a college campus into a six-day livestreaming universe with 120 creators, and 20+ brands built themselves into the story.
For ex. β Zaxby's fed the campus with a custom "Kai Meal"
Or β Red Bull sponsored the Best Professor award
And β Ch@mobile gave every student a phone and a year of service
π 56.79M hours watched. 1.45M peak concurrent viewers β both more than double last year. ~6,000 channels broadcasting.
π‘ Lesson: When sponsoring a creator event, ask "what useful role can our product play?" The best integrations give creators something to experience or use β not a banner to ignore.
3οΈβ£ Gap : Creator Program
Gap made two opposite creator moves in one month. It opened its creator program to employees across all four brands (staff earning affiliate commissions and amplified content), while simultaneously dropping The Hailey Jean with Hailey Bieber β a '90s denim capsule teased for three days that sold out online in minutes.
π Gap's creator program had already driven ~30,000 posts reaching 154M users before employees joined. The Hailey Jean's teaser alone pulled ~5M views before anyone saw the jeans.
π‘ Lesson: Think portfolio, not campaign. Combine hundreds of small authentic voices at the bottom with occasional superstar partnerships that create cultural moments at the top.
4οΈβ£ McDonald's Γ Serena Neel
McDonald's didn't brief an 11M-follower creator to make an ad. It found a TikTok Serena Neel made almost four years ago β stitching clips of herself ordering a McChicken β and recreated it as a national 15-second TV spot, starring her.
π Serena hit ~11.5M TikTok followers around the campaign. Social listening effectively became the creative department β an old organic post became the insight, concept, casting and script.
π‘ Lesson: Your next big campaign might already be in your mentions. Track what people organically create about your brand, then amplify the best ideas instead of starting from a blank brief.
5οΈβ£ Play-Doh Blooms
To launch Blooms β its first-ever product line for adults β Play-Doh skipped traditional advertising and recruited ~200 DIY, crafting and interiors creators to demonstrate the new use case. They filmed themselves turning Play-Doh into polished floral arrangements, making a 70-year-old kids' brand suddenly make sense for grown-ups.
π 200 creators. Kits from $24.99, live on Amazon, Target, Walmart β plus Play-Doh's first TikTok Shop launch and a 600+ visitor activation at the Whitney.
π‘ Lesson: Entering a new category? Partner with creators who already have credibility in the world you're trying to enter. Let them demonstrate why you belong there instead of announcing it yourself.
β οΈ Bonus: OpenAI x Influencer Trip
OpenAI flew ~30 creators to a $2,000-a-night luxury resort for "Summer Club," meant to teach them to use ChatGPT.
But the content audiences saw was mostly cabins, gifts and monogrammed pajamas, and the backlash outran the campaignβ¦
π One attendee's video got under 300 likes; another under 15K views.
Butβ¦two reaction videos criticizing the trip pulled 500K+ combined views. Several creators later deleted their posts.
π‘ Lesson: Brand-creator fit goes beyond demographics. Understand how a creator's audience feels about your company and category first, and if your product needs education, make sure the content actually delivers it, or the perks become the story.
π Want to run campaigns like these?
The brands above didn't get lucky β
β They found the right creators, moved fast, and trusted the process.
Click Analytic gives you the tools to do the same. Find creators that actually fit your brand, track campaign performance, and scale what works.
What you can copy for your campaigns
Build an experience, not an ad. Make creators the event people show up for (YouTube Γ FIFA).
Give sponsors a useful role. The best integrations give creators something to use or experience (Kai Cenat).
Think portfolio, not campaign. Combine micro-creator volume with mega-creator moments (Gap).
Mine your mentions. Your next campaign may already exist in organic content (McDonald's).
Let creators demonstrate the repositioning. Borrow credibility in a new category (Play-Doh).
Check audience sentiment before you book. Fit is about how their audience feels about you, not just demographics (OpenAI).
