📊 Did you know?

Hailey Bieber’s Rhode sold $15M worth of product in just one day at Sephora — outperforming Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty launch.

🔥 New Trend: Instagram’s Widescreen Flex

A new format is taking over feeds: 5120 x 1080 ultra-wide videos.

Started by filmmaker Luke Berg → quickly picked up by McLaren, Nandos, Canva.
Now Ford, Sephora & Fenty are in on it.

It’s scroll-stopping, but not practical for campaigns. It burns out fast!

🔔 Top Creator Stories

💄 Sephora goes full TikTok Shop mode

Sephora launches “Storefront”
A new affiliate program turning beauty creators into mini Sephoras, with commission on every sale.

👻 Vodafone’s new ad star doesn’t exist

The brand built a fully AI TikTok creator to front its latest campaign. A bold test of whether audiences will trust pixels over people.

🏈 Sports rights owners turn to YouTube creators

Leagues are partnering with creators to reach global fans — bypassing traditional broadcasters.

🤝 TikTok found a deal!

Reports say TikTok has finally struck a framework deal with US regulators.

  • Oracle would host all U.S. user data

  • ByteDance may keep <20% and license the algorithm

  • Murdoch’s media empire could join the board via the investor consortium

It’s not a full sale, but a restructuring: U.S. operations move into a new entity with American majority control, while Beijing still holds influence over the algo.

Meanwhile, TikTok just surpassed Meta in monthly US users (170M), proving the stakes are sky-high.

👎️ Miu Miu x Wisdom Kaye: Worst campaign ever?

This one hurts to watch.

Miu Miu tried a clever PR play → sending creators branded microphones so their logo showed up in every video. Smart, right?

Then Wisdom Kaye (9M followers) posted his $17k haul… and the clothes literally fell apart on camera. Twice. Even the replacements.

15M+ viewers later, people now call the brand “Temiu Temiu.”

Takeaways for marketers:
1️⃣ If your product sucks, creators will expose it.
2️⃣ Creators = trust. They’re who consumers believe most.
3️⃣ Attention ≠ sales. Without trust, all the reach in the world won’t convert.

What should have been a PR win became a viral brand disaster…
