💡 How to Win With Influencer Gifting

I’ve worked with countless marketers who share the same frustration:

“We sent out a bunch of gifts… and barely got any posts back.”

I get it. You invest time, product, and budget… and then nothing

But here’s the thing:

Influencer gifting still works ONLY IF you treat it like a strategy, not a shot in the dark.

Take Summer Fridays:

→ They built a $4.8M+ business launch by sending aesthetic PR mailers to just 100 beauty influencers - with zero paid ads.

Within weeks, they had thousands of UGC posts, waitlists on Sephora, and a permanent place in the skincare conversation.

Last year, they made +$150M in revenue 🔥

It worked because it was thoughtful, on-brand, and designed for shareability.

Here are 5 proven tactics you can borrow (and scale)👇

1️⃣ Automate

A. Gifting is a numbers game. The more creators you contact, the more leverage you have to get content.

(Use a tool to automate search, email generation and email outreach - check Click Analytic)

B. Creators are busy. If saying yes takes more than two clicks, you’ll lose them.

I started using a short form in my outreach emails, and reply rates shot up.

  • ☑️ Why it matters: Brands that automate gifting logistics cut admin time by 50% and see higher post rates.

For ex. Typology doubled their influencer post rate by automating their micro-influencer campaigns.

  • 💡 Pro Tips: Use Google Forms or TypeForm to get all the interested creators and their key infos into one Excel file.

2️⃣ Let Creators Come to You

Create a “Work With Us” page to onboard creators and then promote it through your social channels and emails.

All the top e-com brands are doing it, take Skims, Rhode, Revolve etc.

  • ☑️ Why it matters: Allowing interested creators to reach out ensures they are genuinely interested in your brand, increasing the likelihood of authentic promotion.

  • 💡 Pro Tip: Utilize tools like Click Analytic to screen incoming creators and ensure they align with your brand values.

3️⃣ Start with People Who Already Love You

Identify and engage with creators who already follow, comment, or have posted about your brand.

  • ☑️ Why it matters: These creators are more likely to produce authentic content and have higher engagement rates.

  • 💡 Pro Tip: If you're starting from scratch, analyze who is tagging your competitors and engage with them.

4️⃣ Personalize the Experience

Small touches, like handwritten notes or customized packaging, can make a big difference.

  • Example: Gisou's mini fridge campaign didn't just send hair oil; they sent a curated experience. The #GisouMiniFridge hashtag has garnered over 53 million views on TikTok.

5️⃣ Measure the Results Like a Campaign

Implement tracking mechanisms such as UTM links or discount codes to monitor the effectiveness of your gifting campaigns.

  • ☑️ Why it matters: Without proper tracking, you're just guessing the impact of your efforts.
