💡 Campaign of the week: Netflix x “The Group Chat”
To promote the release of the upcoming season of “YOU”, Netflix partnered with one of the trendiest creators on TikTok.
And it’s by far my favourite campaign of the week!

If you haven’t seen The Group Chat on TikTok, you're missing out.
→ It’s Sydney Robinson’s wildly relatable, drama-packed mini series that blew up basically overnight.
She gained 1.1M followers in just one month, and her videos now average 2.6M views (according to Click Analytic).
Why this collab with Netflix is smart:
👉️ Instead of pushing a promo for their series, You, they created a “deleted scene” that fit perfectly inside Sydney’s existing narrative.
It wasn’t an ad—it was content.
And it worked:
Netflix’s post hit 900K+ views, which is more than 4x their usual.
But here’s the twist—they only posted it on their own account, not hers. So while it performed well, it could’ve exploded.

🤓 Why this worked:
I always say: go where the audience already is. This was a textbook example
The integration felt seamless, like the characters would be talking about Joe from You
Sydney’s audience (81% women aged 18–24 in the U.S.) matched Netflix’s target perfectly
But I wish they had gone further—posting from her account could’ve made this go 10x bigger
