Most brands send 10 emails to creators and wonder why nobody repliesβ¦
Here's the uncomfortable truth: the average reply rate for cold influencer outreach is 5β10%. Most brands accept this.

The mistake everyone makes
Brands treat outreach like a wish. Pick 5 creators, write a long email, send once, wait. This approach fails every time.
Top DTC brands treat it like a sales pipeline. Volume. Sequences. A/B testing. Data.
The 3 things that actually get replies:
β Volume: If you need 10 creators, contact 100. Volume forces you to systematise, gives you negotiating leverage, and builds data fast.
β Subject lines: The subject is the only thing that controls your open rate. Under 30 chars. First name. Clear offer. "Julia <> [Brand]" outperforms "Exciting collaboration opportunity!!" every single time.
β Follow-ups: Most replies come after follow-up #2. Brands who send one email and give up leave 2Γ the replies on the table. Automate a 5-step sequence: Day 1 β Day 4 β Day 11 β Day 12 DM β Day 18 final bump.

A creator just went viral for posting a private DM.
7.7 million views. More than her last 500 brand posts combined.
Bill Gates' daughter (Phoebe) reached out to influencer Kacie Margis for a collab for her startup Phia.
β Kacie quoted $4,000 across TikTok, Reels and Story.
β Phoebe came back at $400, calling it a "scrappy startup with no budget" (They raised +$10M)
Kacie posted the DM. It blew up.

Everyone went after the founder. But here's the math nobody ran:
