🎯 Case Study: From 5 to 50 Sales/Day with Creators

This week’s story is a personal one.

I met Thomas, the founder of Chip-Ing, last year.

His product is genius: a GPS tracker that helps golfers find their lost balls.

But there was a problem

His ads weren’t converting…

They were stuck at around 5 sales per day using Meta and Google Ads.

And he wanted to scale fast in the US, but didn’t know where to start.

So we took a step back and looked at the landscape:

The golf brands dominating online (TaylorMade, Vice Golf etc.), had one thing in common:

They were everywhere in creator content.

  • TaylorMade had 10K+ creator mentions → $460M in sales

  • Vice Golf had 1K+ mentions → $17M in sales

It was clear: the brands winning online were winning with creators.

That’s when we pivoted to influencer marketing.

Here’s what worked 👇

(The full strategy, just for you)

1️⃣ Find the right creators

We used Click Analytic to filter creators in golf, sports, and comedy niches—then sorted by:

  • US-based audience % (at least 50%)

  • Avg. Reels views (last 30 posts) - target 1k on avg. minimum

  • Engagement rate (2% minimum)

  • Past brand collabs

🎯 Over 100 profiles were identified.

2️⃣ Mass email outreach

Important: Creators are like sales prospects. If you want to work with 5 it’s easy. If you want to work with +50, it’s a lot of work.

SO AUTOMATE. It will also help you get more answers.

Thomas used our again Click Analytic to automatically generate the emails on 50+ creators.

Then, mass email them automatically. The results?

  • 90% opened

  • 40% replied

💡 Don’t overthink personalization. Focus on clarity + volume. Always follow up (at least twice).

3️⃣ Brief well—but leave room for creativity

Creators were told:

  • What problem Chip-Ing solves (losing balls)

  • How the tech works

  • What offer to include

But we let them shape the story.

💡 Pro Tip: Include a short, clear brief—and talk it out with creators on a quick call. Ask to review content 48h before posting.

The results?
🎯 A single video hit 2M+ views, with only $1,000 in spend.

4️⃣ Track + boost what works

Once content goes live, don’t just sit back—treat it like a performance funnel.

We helped Thomas monitor every stage using Click Analytic.

*On Click, we help you automatically save all content made (stories, Reels, TikToks) and connect Shopify to track sales.

Here’s what we tracked:

👀 Top-of-funnel: Views, impressions, saves, and comments

👆 Mid-funnel: Profile clicks, link taps, swipe-ups (from Stories)

💸 Bottom-of-funnel: Sales via promo codes, UTM links, or affiliate tools

This showed us which creators moved the needle—not just who got likes.

📊 Example: One video with 2M+ views had high engagement but low clicks. Another with 300K views drove 20% of total sales. Views ≠ conversions.

Here’s where boosting came in:

Instead of chasing new creators, we amplified the top-performing content by running Spark Ads (on TikTok) and branded content ads (on Instagram/Facebook).

It allowed Chip-Ing to:

  • Reach new, highly targeted audiences

  • Control budget and geo

  • Extend the lifespan of viral posts

💡 Pro Tip: Always ask creators to tag your brand as a collaborator (on Instagram) or whitelist your brand (on TikTok). This gives you access to their content for paid boosting.

🔁 Bonus: Boosted content often outperforms branded content because it looks organic, not like an ad. And you can scale it based on real performance—not hope.

5️⃣ Repeat what worked

This wasn’t a one-and-done campaign.

Once the first wave of content went live, we tracked everything:

→ views, clicks, comments, conversions, and identified the top-performing creators.

Then we doubled down:
✔️ Re-engaged the best ones
✔️ Offered long-term deals
✔️ Focused on repeat content, not one-off shoutouts

Why? Because one post rarely converts on its own.

People need to see the product multiple times to trust it, just like with paid ads.

🧠 Think of it like billboards: you wouldn’t run one for a day and expect results. You run it for weeks so people remember you.

📈 With Chip-Ing, repeated creator posts helped build familiarity, social proof, and momentum:

→ Resulting in sustained growth beyond the initial 3-week spike.

💡 Pro Tip: Lock in high-performing creators for monthly content or seasonal campaigns. It saves money long-term and increases impact.

Takeaway?
Influencer marketing works—but only when you treat it like a system, not a gamble.

📈 From 5 to 50+ sales/day. In just 3 weeks.
With just $1K and a smart creator strategy.
